How Long Do Plecs Take To Grow Full Size?

stupid question i guess but how long does it take the average plec to reach full size ??

i realise this is dependant on starting size etc but just a rough figure as its something you dont see in booksetc.

and how long do they live for??

what species?

commons and sailfins will be full grown in about 12 - 18 months if in a big tank and fed propperly.

your looking for about 20 years if kept properly too.

Others will take 10 years to grow to full size... then live out the rest of their days looking great

Yeah, it really depends on the species. Commons and gibbies will grow v. quickly, whereas a royal will only grow on average an inch a year (so I hear).
