how long do goldfish live for ????

just wondering if anyone has had a goldfish for over 6-7 years but he died last year

Ive heard they can live 30 years my auntie had one for 22 yers n he was won at a fair,The goldies in my pond are now 6 ans are doing fine

the average life span of commons is 25 but they can live for 30+
the average for fancies is 20 but again they can reach 25+

of course this all depends on size of pond,water conditions
etc that they are kept in
