How Large Should An Anthias Harem Be?

How large of a group should Bartletts Anthias be kept in? I want to have them in a 500 gallon. I heard on one site that you should keep them in a group of three, and on another that they should be kept in the largest group as possible.

With Anthias, it should be as large as possible. However they can and will live in smaller groups with one male and 3/4 females.

My book by Michael says 1 male per 8 females. 500g is a nice size. Yummy! Start a journal.
