Looking to upgrade my rio180 Marine setup to my rio400 then in a yr or so upgrade that to a 6x2x2 with sump and wife would like a regal and yellow tangs.

Was wondering on peoples opinions on QT tank sizes? As I would have a rio 190 spare and also the 400 spate when gethe 6x2x2 which is when the tanga would come onto the scene.

i use a 3x2x2 they have more swimming space i think it would be dead boring for a fish in a small tank

I just use a 10gallon tank.
Since fish are usually kept in smaller than this in a shop anyway theyre usually fine for the 2/3 weeks of quarentine.
Also, it is alot easier to treat fish in a smaller tank since you need less treatment, which also makes it cheaper. Also in a tank that size you can target feed finiky eating fish easier and theyre more likley to find food. I wouldnt reccommend using anything smaller than a 10gallong tank. :good:

Cheers guys good point about any mess used and amounts needed u forgot aboutthat.

I have a spare 60l tank sat around aswell that's what 10G min easy, so could use that also. Think I'll use the 180 for a group of fish and the 60L for specific fish If
needed.
