Just got my new tank a river reef 94l

set it up and happy with it but it makes a racket. I;ve set it up in the living room but the fan noise is winding my mrs up.

are they necessary?

and don;t get me started on the air pump for the skimmer lol

im guessing the fan is to help disperse the heat from the lights? if so maybe you could try a luminaire?

what fans r they i have seen some that r the same as computer fans u can ones like i have in my computer they dont make hardly make a sound

they're the standard ones in the river reef tank

I'll see how i get on andmaybe try and change em to pc ones?

Yip these fans are essential to get the most out of your bulbs I believe they are standard PC fans first I would check to see if they have any salt creep if not just replace them with one of the silent PC fans :)

Oooh also do you know how old the bulbs are in the new tank ?
