Hi,

I have a chance to get a 6 gallon fully established saltwater tank with live rock, sand, snails, fish included. It is a eclipse 6 system. I am wondering how difficult and how expensive it would be to maintain. I am probably not going to take it because I have a hard enough time with my 10 gallon freshwater tank. I am sooo tempted though, just have to ask.

I keep a 20g marine tank.

personally I wouldn;t bother with a 6g marine

I'd save for a bigegr one

In all honesty probally to hard for a beginner, water parmameters will be hard to maintain in such a small volume of water.

Well this is for trade...no money involved. Trading stuff I don't need anyway. The guy is telling me if I can pour a cup of coffee I can take care of this tank. I find that hard to believe. It is an eclipse 6 system, is this kind of tank supposed to make it super easy?

Thanks, Sarah

More than likely he just wants rid.

I am not saying they are impossiable but that size tank is going to be very hard to maintain, especially for a beginner.

But if it is already set up and running well then you could just keep up with the maintenance? Don't take my word
