How Fast Will A Bristlenose Plec Grow?

My tiny BN plec is only about 1.5 inches, slightly smaller than my guppies! He has started taking a real interest in food now (finally) and has been seen scoffing catfish pellets, algae wafers and courgettes.

How fast can I expect him to grow? And how long till I know if he's a he or a she?

male will have bristles on his nose, the female wont

how quick they grow im not sure, i think they grow to about 8inches tho

I have 2 male bristlenoses and an unknown who is still a baby. The males are their full adult size now (about 4.5 inches) and both went from being the size of yours to their current size in about 5 months, if I remember correctly. The baby has been in the tank for about 7 weeks now and has grown from about 1/2 inch to just under 2 inches in that time. He/she is just starting to develop some tiny bristles. Females may get a few around the mouth but males get them all over their faces.
