How Do You Tell If Your Barbs Have Eggs

Im pretty sure they DONT get pregnant. So uhm, if im correct, how do i tell if they have eggs cause everytime i go to a fish store, i buy fish or inverts that are either pregnant or berried. Haha

The males will be bright red. The females are a duller brownish color.

When they are carryign eggs they will be rounder and fuller.

They will be fatter than the males I guess is the best way to describe it.
Not to the point of bloat, but generally fatter.

where are the eggs stored?

near the head, in the middle or close to the anal fin

The eggs are stored in the abdomen about midway just above the anus.
