How Do You Sex Silvertip Tetras?

hi, my brother is getting silvertip tetras for his new tank, but we have noticed that there are silver ones, and gold coloured ones. can you tell the sex by the colour, and what male to female ratio is best if trying to breed them?

There is no ratio in sex difference with Silver tips and (always), to be sure, I suggest one gets about 12..... then you'll be positive of having at least some of the "other" sex....Difference is exclusively by the shape of the body, with the males being blatantly more streamlined than the plump females. They are easy to breed as well.
