How Do You Send Fish Or Coral By Post

i've not personally bought any fish thru the post (i prefer to see them in the flesh first) but i've bought quite a few corals.
They tend to come in a plastic tub wrapped in filter wool, with a heat pack sometimes used to try and keep the heat up.
I've had zoas, mushrooms and trumpet corals all posted to me with no casualties.

The last frag of zoas was left at the post office for a second night as i didn't have enough time to collect it that day. The water was stone cold by the time i collected it, but after a lengthy acclimatisation they all opened up fine.

I have just cut my own zoa frags so in the near future will be sending my first ones out thru the post using the above methods.

It is done pretty much the same way as sending fish.v Please read my topic from the killifish section

I recently visited the mainland (by air) and visited a shop in West Yorkshire called Interfish. I could not bring any corals back due to the liquid ban on aeroplanes so I took a small poly box with me. I bought some corals and the store keeper very kindly packaged up my corals into my box (with 48hr heat pack also supplied by me) , I then addressed the box and took it to the nearest Post Office and sent it to my home address by next day delivery (RM) as I was returning home that evening. The box duly arrived next day as planned with no losses whatsoever
