Hey, there's a particular scene in a film that I have on DVD that's I'd like to save. How would I go about gettig that image? As in, would I have to pause the film at the particular scene and then what...is there a button that like saves the image or something????

You could just make it full screen then press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.

I had a go with the "Print Screen" button and it didnt work..instead when i clicked paste on 'paint' i got the image, but when i tried to save it it would just turn out black.
And the link did not work...

Programs like iTunes and media player and clever and don't let you print screen somethime if your playing things with a copyright certificate. There are programes that will let you do it but most wont.

Hi connorsbala,

I've never done this before I read your thread. So here goes,

I watch my film with InterVideo WinDVD 4( I know there updated versions of this I personaly like this one) and it has a capture button. You pause the film and it also has a feature so you can step on the film a clip at a time. Press the capture button and a new small window opens, it shows the capture( aslo has other options ie: multi shots)

You save the picture and if on XP like myself it will store the picture in My Pictures\WINDVD Capture

It saves the image as BMP file, but you can change this to JPEG using something like paint.

Heres a quick one i've done from The last Samurai

Personally would move over to VLC if I was you any media file that it can't play just isn't worth watching and it allows you to use the print screen button.
