hi guys,
having problems with black beard algae,pretty sure its down to my lights, however how do you know what your Co2 levels are like? Can i assue too much carbon causes BBA or not enough?i change the water 25% once every week and a half


I can make my own Co2 rig, with a canister and regulator,but does it just tube into the tank?

Co2 levels can be checked using a drop checker. To much co2 does not cause bba but poor circulation does. Also to much lighting does.

DIY co2 system is a bit unpredictable and again can cause bba.

Any co2 injector needs to be passed through a defuser to disperse the co2 into the water coarse.

Larger water changes also help. 40% a week.
