How do you know if they're Happy ?

Just bought 2 Clown Barbs and they keep thrashing about and venture up & down the tank?

Are they happy ?

IMO healthy fish are happy fish. A varied diet and interesting surroundings are important as well as suitable tank mates and space.

You need to let your fish settle in to the tank before judgeing. How are your parameters? Consider these if the behaviour continues.

apart from them having no visual signs of disease, a healthy fish will be hungry, their colour will be strong and you will notice them being playfull. Well thats how i generally know when my fish are happy and healthy.
