Hey guys after looking at my filter it seem the impeller is slightly leaning more to one direction and rubbing on the shaft slightly.

How can i fix this without breaking it. The filter is a Eheim 2213 btw.

Thanks

First make sure you still have the rubber bushing at both ends, this is what centers the shaft. If you do have them the shaft/impeller is worn, and needs to be replaced.

Do you mean the rubber bits on the end of the actual centre pole as I'd call it? Looks like a lolly pop stick? The filter is brand new I had it delivered today so it should be broken or worn should it?

With a new filter it certainly should not be worn or broken. They do rub on the shaft when running, and will appear to be slightly out of center without the cover that keeps it centered.

If it still appears to be a problem I'd get it running without media on a bucket of water, if there is excessive noise and/or vibration not caused by the usual bit of air with a new setup it is defective.

Ok thanks for the advice, will try your ideas :)
