Can fiddler crabs live in a 2.5 gallon tank? Do they need air and water? What do I feed them? Can they live with fish? Will they eat the fish? Do they need rocks or sand to breed in? Please tell me a appropriate size tank for them to live in.

My general rule for crabs is 10 gallons, larger if you want more than two.

They need brackish water(SG1.001-1.005), and it must be filtered. because of the brackish water, they cannot be kept with freshwater fish, and many brackish species grow too large to be kept with them safely.

There are two ways to create the land they need:
1: Create a sloping area out of sand. High on one side, low on the other. Fill the tank partially so that some of the land is completely out of the water.
2: Stack rocks in a half full aquarium so they break the surface. make several stacks like these.

If they don't have access to land they'll climb out of the tank.

heh, maybe I should make a crab care sheet.
