how do i take care of coral?

i bought my live rock and a piece of coral is on it, about the size of a finger. and it stands up straight there is a pic of it here http/fish.orbust.net/forums/index.php?sh...showtopic=19250 what do i do to take care of it? how do i feed it? what is it? thnx in advance for any answers.

Have you read any books of sea water/reefs?

Try to find book called "The Coral Reef Aquarium" written by Ron Shimek. It's very good book and things are told clearly.

does the coral have a hard calcarious skeleton under the flesh or is it rubery. I don't think that the coral will survive the cycling but if its survived the shiping of the the live rock, then it could do. I think that it may not be a coral. its not a tunicate (I think). do you have any more pics?

thnx for the help. the lfs guys sayed that it is coral, but they didnt tell me anything about it ill get soem more pics of the coral
