ugh ok so my new male betta (pics under "final Breeders") is not eating.............. i have tried making the blood worm 'move', i have tried omega one flakes (very healthy) and i tried micro worms. all he does is look at it, swim by it, then flare and flare and flare. i covered 2 of the sides..... i want to cry because Candy is getting bigger and i dont know is george will be able to wrap around her he love to flare at Candy...
i just when to the pet store like 3 days in a row and dont want to make my mom drive me back there to get something that he might eat...

ok so he did eventually eat the worm. they were fed in the pet store when i got him so he might have been full and getting used to his tank.

Como, I do not want to detract from your very real experiences here. What you are facing is a male that for one reason or another is not really ready to eat properly or to mate. In my own experience it is far better to find a food that my fish like than continue to push them to eat the "ideal food". A fish that likes what he is doing is really an ideal mating fish, IME.

he did eat the worm and i will see how he is tonight. prior to feeding him last night, i did show him Candy which did get his excited, which would explain the other flares he did.
i will post later on tonight's feeding.

he is eating the blood worms normally and likes them!!!

If he likes blood worms, go for it. I have never yet experienced a fish that was quite that limited, but you may well have one. What will you do when he is ready to spawn?

he love the blood worms!!! when he is ready to spawn i will breed him with Candy, and if that didnt work, i have 2 other females that are ready to go!

Glad you found something he likes, but imo you can't just feed him on bloodworm all the time.
Once he's been conditioned & bred then try other foods.
Although you might worry, he really won't starve, when he's hungry he'll eat what's offered

of course i will i just cant make you except clear pics because my new camera has focus issues . when you zoom in it gets clear just before it gets foggy... sooo frustrating.
