Hello. I have an iPhone. I tried to post a live video through YouTube but my account doesn’t meet eligibility now. I guess this is something fairly new. So how do I upload an iPhone video for you to view?

Thank you.

Fran

I tried to go “live” and I got the message that my channel doesn’t meet the eligibility requirement. How else can I do it? Thank you.

Ahh you dont want to go live. I think you want to upload a video.
If you are on mobile here are the steps:
  1. Open the YouTube app

    .
  2. Tap Create

    and then
    Upload a video.
  3. Select the file you’d like to upload and tap NEXT.
    • If your video is 60 seconds or less and has a square or vertical aspect ratio, it will be uploaded as a Short.
    • (Optional) If your video is longer than 60 seconds and has a square or vertical aspect ratio, you can tap “Edit into a Short” to trim your video and upload it as a Short.
If you close the upload experience before you finish choosing your settings, your video will be saved as a draft on your Content page.

If you are on PC
  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. In the top-right corner, click CREATE

@connorlindeman has got you covered!

Just so you know what the eligibility thing is about - anyone can upload videos to youtube, but "going live" means streaming live from your channel. A channel has to meet requirements in order to livestream, can't remember the figures off hand, but it's something like having 1,000 subscribers and 400 or 4000 watch hours in total, then they can livestream and get a community tab. :)

Yah cause if anyone could go live on YT... There would be some really wrong things out there 😅

haha! Yes, that too, but I also think it's mainly about how much harder it is on their servers etc to support a ton of livestreams that then need to be converted into videos etc, than it is to just upload videos.
