ive thought of a problem with my next 125 litre reef tank, filtration is going to be berlin. and water movement by power heads, no filter or sump, and the skimmer outlet is already in the water.

where can i put some rowaphos? i thought of making a chamber in a corner of the tank with a power head underneath the bag of Rowaphos and the water being pushed through it or the power head at the top forcing water down, and allowing it to flow out the bottom? any better ideas?

Rowaphos *shouldn't* be needed. In fact, the Berlin system without modification does not apply any form of chemical filtration ;)

Just remind me what skimmer you decided to use?

All the best

What powerhead have you got. (A Maxijet)
Here's a wee DIY jobbie.
Large Rowaphos Canister drill holes in the base.
Drill a hole in the cap (large enough to fit the inlet strainer from a maxijet)
place your bag of rowa in the container place a little circular cutout of eggcrate on top (stops bag from clogging the powerhead inlet) and turn on the maxijet. simples.
Ofcourse if you would like to adapt this further then please keep us informed.

yep i have a spare maxijet, and i also have some acrylic and a laser cutter at school i can use :hyper:

i thought of cutting a piece to fit in the corner so i have a triangular partition in the corner looking down, then i will fit two dividers which would have 2mm holes drilled in, then rowaphos in a bag then another piece of acrylic and the power head intake at the top, with combs at the top and bottom, i will get a pic. but your idea bigC sounds good :good:
