I've got a bunch of Kordon breather bags just sitting around waiting to be sold. I don't have the time right now to continually post auctions on Aquabid, but I would like to earn a little $$.

Could we create a "TFF Member Businesses" category under the Sponsors forum? Basically a forum of controlled threads started by a member who has a dinky business. Each business would recieve just one thread where they could post a link to their site or post updated stock lists. The category could be put on "Mod Review" just like the Profiles section without any problems because most updates wouldn't really be time critical anyways. And if there are repeated complaints regarding service, the member's business would just be deleted!

I think this would be really convenient for those of us who have little fishy businesses to run but nowhere to advertise.

:good:

isn't it odd how people post the same sorts of things at the same times...someone should do a study on the frequency of sand topics in the chit chat sections of popular fish forums...

 be very carefull suggesting things like this, you might offend someone and they will send people from another forum to send you annoying pm's and try to publicly flame you for weeks on end.

 I agree it would be a good idea and would help William out greatly, but unfortunately a small sector of the forum didnt think it was quite such a good idea and caused such a problem that any discussions of such a possibilty quickly fell into a flaming and banning festival.

don't worry about those people...I didn't read the whole thread but from what I gathered you didn't say..."INSERT MEMBERS NAME HERE I am deleteing this thread...you can NOT post anymore until you remove your sig or start giving us money" You said it sure would be nice if you donated a bit to william for giving you all this free bandwidth and customers to advertise to. They just take themselves a little to seriously sometimes. I don't understand why they did this. The big THING about the forum they all went to (or came from depending on your tense) is that you don't want to ruffle any feathers...you don't want to make anybody mad...it's pretty cool there I guess you don't really have to worry about people FIGHTING over anaerobic pockets killing two ottos. But that is a product of size. Efficiency and large quantities of information are also products of size.

the thing is, there's currently no information (that i could find at midnight last night ) about how members can take part as forum "sponsors". i don't think that it would make sense for each member to have a unique subforum, but it'd be nice to have a special sponsorship subforum for members who want to sell fishy items on a regular basis.

(PS, Torrean--I posted my version first! :p ;) )

So aimed at moi  it wasn't 'FIGHTING' just a debate which, with science behind me, I debated.

fighting is too strong a word really. Sorry about that. It was getting a bit heated though. The debate wasn't really going anywhere. You said you were right the other person said they were right. Well you were both right really. Anyway it doesn't matter. I probably shouldn't have used an example like that.
