How Blue Can Blue Platies Be?

Our platies are blue :) I'll have to get some pics for you tomorrow.
The big male in the main tank is a really gorgeous darkish blue color.
The females in our 10gal tank along with some fry are also blue. Not as vibrant as the adult male but still very pretty.

Alrighty, here are some really bad pics I took just a few mins ago lol.

Here are 3 of the big male. He kept hiding from me when I tryed to take a picture of him... AND the water is green b/c of all the hair algae in the tank....
You can still see that he's a very deep shade of blue. He's a very pretty fishy

And here are the fry and 2 mommas in the 10gallon. Ignore the hideous brown algae in the back. I forgot to clean that off when I did the last water change.
You can see some of the fry are a lighter colo while a couple others are very dark

Picture of the smaller mommy platy. Her coloring is darker than what is shown... they just did not want to stop moving and our camera sucks so it didn't get a good shot heh.
Poor girl has gill damage b/c of the ammonia spike that occured for some reason in the 5 gal where they were. She's doing better now though thankfully.

And a pic of both of the moms. The bigger one in the back is a much more lighter shade of blue than the other girl. The flash makes them both look about the same coloring though.. BLEH.

Those are beautiful, Amunet.

The blue platies that the LFS carries here aren't nearly as vivid.

Wow! I never knew there's blue platies existed. I would replace my present platies with them! Now find them is another matter. Blue is my favorite color so its gonna to be cool to have a livebearers that carried my favorite color.

All the pictures Live Aquaria posts are enhanced via Photoshop. That's why they have such vibrant colors.

You can't just say that! For all we know they are just very blue platies and how do you know amunet edited them anyway? There would be no point because you wouldent be proud of it and you wouldent feel the need to post this. If you bought a rubbish fish and used a photoshop editor you wouldent feel proud enough to post a thread with edited pics of that fish would you?

So don't go around accusing people of things without any evidence.

I think TRD meant that the online store Live Aquaria Photoshops their fish photos to "emphasize" their colors... for better sales no doubt. I will say, the blue platies look fab! I will have to try and find them.

LOL. What are you talking about? Please re-read my original post more carefully and don't get so defensive so quickly.

Thank you, kohyuta.
