I rescued a little blue female from Petsmart, and the only thing I had was a thing that size. Since I have NO idea how many gallons that would be I need to know, so I can get her settled in..I have to know so I wont add too much or too little Water conditioner. Thanks for any help! I'll get pics of her in a little while.

going with the measurements being inches? i had to round 6'5 to 7 though so it's not completey accurate

it would be 4 litres - 1 uk gallon - 1.06 u.s gallon

i could do it again with 6" h if you want because that will more likely be how much water you have in there?
hope i helped :good:

i calculated 1.5 US gallons. not that that's a huge difference ;)

i used a volume calculator and it rounded the 6.5 up so i'd say you've put enough in.

i think you've probably got about 1 u.s gallon in it so i would stick at what you've done.

:good:

Cant you tip the water out and measure it accurately with a pint jug or glass ! as you pour it in. Dont forget gravel and ornaments take up room as well (displace water I mean) wheres the piccie

Nah, she just kinda had it folded up when I took the pic. It's such bad quality >.< But her fins are a bit damaged. And Thanks
Edit:Actually...I think she's missing a HUGE Chunk!

i really want a or 2 (divider in tank )betta for my 5 gallon tank.

but nice betta aren't that common round where i live.

their normally £5.99 for a little male with clamped fins and not the best of colours.

theirs also only a maximum of 4 betta in each lfs so i have to look round all the tanks looking for them as they mix them with other fish. :/

glad there's nothing wrong with her fins etc..

is the tank she's in filtered, heater etc..

Wow thats high for a betta. They're only $3.49 US for the males, and $1.99 US for the females. She is missing a huge chunk, and I just noticed, so I hope its not fin rot :/ No..she doesnt have a filter or anything. None of my bettas do, but I do change their water regularly

only asking as i'm planning my betta tank and some people say they need a filter some say they don't :/ so confusing

i wouldn't need a heater my house is always warm enough for my fish

i duno about lights though if i put it in my bedroom it would get plenty of light but not direct sunlight

would you say i'd be ok?

hope her fins get betta (sorry about the pun)

:good:
