How Big Do Apple Snails Get?

Since having my apple snail hes already grew, how big do they get on average?

Some species get to a 6" diameter. But that is rare. Most get to a 2-3" diameter.

How do i know my snails eating? Sometimes he licks the tank walls othertimes he doesnt is this him eating?

More than likely. They also eat bits of food that fall on the floor that other tank mates don't eat. Of course with a betta, I am sure that you don't feed flake food, so add some flake food for them every once in a while.

I feed my betta flake food as a staple (food pellets aren't the only healthy feeding regime)

You should feed it algae pellets/wafers and occasioanl blanched veg not just let it scavenge food on its own from left overs. Mine particularly enjoy courgette (more nutritious then cucumber) I freeze it after buying so that it lasts me a long time as fish/shrimp/snail food just cut off whilst still frozen and it will defrost very rapidly. Veg should be washed to remove any weedkillers/fertilisers and blanch when suitable to remove bacteria although some fruit blanching is a bit of a hassle so personally I avoid. I just give my tank life 1-2 pieces of veg that I have had with dinner 3-4 times a week you learn which types they dislike and what they love can take a while for them to recognise some items as food.
