How Big Can My Ottos Get?

Hi,

i have just bought 4 ottos from my local LFS, and i am happy with there health and how they are doing so far,

However, one is really big compared to all the rest of the ottos, i have had 3 ottos before, and they all grew to about 1 inch. 3 of them are about an inch or less, but one has to be 2 inches to 2 1/2 inches !

i cnt get over how big he/she is! he/she is defently an otto, same markings ect.

Should really not get much bigger than your 2.5 inch one....

Hi

It sounds like your big oto was well fed. Since they need lots of green vegetable matter like algae, if your tank doesn't have enough naturally they will not thrive and reach their potential size.

You can feed them blanched zucchini, lettuce, kale, etc. to supplement their diets and help them grow.
