Yeah so this morning i was getting up for school and my mum's fiancée has laminate flooring in the spare room. I didn't realize i had put my school trousers right next to the bed so when i stood up, turned round and started leaning over to make the bed i accidentley stood on the trouser and.......... The trousers slipped and i hit my rib cage on the metal bar on the side of the bed! Turns out after a visit to the doctor it's a confirmed broken rib!
I have to stay off school for the rest of this week then i have next week off anyway because it's half term.

Well it's feet up for you now! I once severely bruised a few ribs playing rugby and that was horrible, can't imagine what breaking them is like!

i hate broken ribs the pain is unbelievable
i broke two and all the did was give me pain killers
and told me to do deep breathing exercises i tell you with
the pain i couldn't do much of that like so take it easy
and dont laugh cos it makes them hurt even more than they
are now

I already know the pain but luckily it's only the one that got a direct hit not the others. The others are painful because the sort of got hit but not the direct-in-line-with-the-bar-hit.
The pain is bad and they've said take ibuprofen and paracetamol.

I broke my rib years ago. I found the side effects of paracetamol and ibuprofen were doing more harm than the pain of the rib.

I could feel mine popping in and out for ages

Is it that bad?

I've been thinking about having my rib cage broken and reset (the left side of my rib cage overlaps the right side) it's not too bad but has given me breathing trouble in the past.

I sneezed earlier and hit my head on the desk! It was painful but it was funny.

2x paracetamol 4 times a day.
2x ibuprofen 3 times a day.

Ive broken my sternum ( the bit rib that goes down the middle of your ribs) i got bundled by a few mates and i was side ways i looked down and just saw my chest pop out. Thats painful its annoying aswell because even breathing hurts. I only got one day of school for it though. That and my noes are the only bones ive broke. I found them little heat strip things work well and alot or ibuprofen

My mum broke her cox-ix bone. She decided to go ice-skating after a couple of drinks and fell over and broke it.
