Are you giving away the tank and everything? If so then I would love it

I too would be very interested in re-homing your tank; equipment and fish.

I live less than 30 minutes drive from Winchester, In Bitterne, just off junction 7 of the M27. Being a postman, I typically finish work around 1500 Mon-Fri and 1230 on Saturdays.

My immediate thoughts would be to approach "VickiandKev" about adding those Clown Loach babies to their 30-strong schoal in their self-built 8-foot tank. Being catfish breeders, they may well fancy the idea of most of the catfish too. "VickiandKev" know me from one of their visits to http://www.wholesale-tropical-fish.co.uk/price_list.htm based in Fareham, where I picked up my Squirrel Loaches in the carpark just around the corner from the wholesalers!

Are the Black upside Down Catfish the ones from Manymar, Mystus leucophasis? If so, it sounds like they would love my riverine 540l, as would the Snowball Plec.

"Flagtail" has a trio of those Flagtail Prochilodus I think, so with a bit of luck I can meet up with him/her so they can be in a little schoal, as these guys group in their hundreds travelling up the Amazon tributaries, where they are known as "Jacqui" by the locals. Aquajardin (LFS in Fairoak) has a group of ~6cm youngsters which really caught my eye a few weeks ago, but my concerns were that they are social and are also extremely active fish, to the extent where a single adult needs a 750l tank according to some web sources! I do not have a tank this big, but I do have "Nelly"'s old 5x2x2 (540l) with juvenile riverine fish and a riverine current (provided by a Hydor Magnum8 powerhead, 12500 litres per hour during daytime), set at 22C. I take it yours have or are losing their black spots, which diffrentiate them from Semaprochilodus taeniurus?

If you were happy for me to collect them, with a bit of juggling of what is in my riverine 5-footer and what could be downsized to your 4-footer (I do have a Rio240 of my own that I am trying to find a tank divider for, to seperate my Lionhead Cichlid family from co-habitants returning from the 540l), my initial hunch is that having only seen this thread in the last 20 minutes or so is that I can give them a good home, even if just in the short term, before trying to get the social fish to keepers who have the capacity for school groups.

I would be very interested in the Snowball pleco.... Have 1 in my 5ft and would love to add a 2nd with the chance of breeding. If it is possible please let me know.

I would also be willing to take all these fish off your hands, let me know if there still available? Can collect any night or weekend. Thnaks

It would be nice to hear from isobelleb as to where things stand... Its been 11 days now and this advert is the only post you have made.

When do you need to find a home for the fish by?

Just a little update for anyone intrested...

Despite "isobelleb" not keeping us informed of what was going on, I have just found this setup on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Large-Complete-Tropical-Fish-Tank-Set-Up-/250706047509?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item3a5f3eb215

So far the bidding is at ~£78, with the auction ending at 08 Oct, 201021:35:43 BST.

I just hope the seller informs the winning bidder that they need to split the fish into at least two tanks, as those Flagtails are going to need ~1000 litre tank as they approach adulthood for a start; the common plec is going to need a 5-foot tank long-term; the Clown Loaches will need a 6-foot tank etc. etc.
