Besides this being a very good filter in general I’ve Decided I want to go all out on Filtration with my New Tank!

So far the set up a trickle bar running 2 compartments with course Sponges and Ceramic Noodles

I’ve added a finer polyester sponge to both Compartments under the main course sponges and above the Ceramic Noodles but I’ve still got lots of space yet to fill

And as we all know more surface area equals more bacteria and better chemical exchange

What would members recommend in the way of Bio media upgrades?

and would a pre filter sponge over the strainer cage be good?

I had a sponge on the intake strainer of all my power filters.

My filters only had sponges in them. You don't need anything else for freshwater tanks.
