hi all,

I bought a second hand juwel trigon 190 L tank and put my fish in last night

I have just come home from work, looked at my tempreature and it says 90 (32) nearly 95 (34)

In the juwel booklet it says the heater goes up to 28??

my heating (radiators) in the house was on (for about 20 mins) but surely it would not make my water feel so warm

Anyway i done a quick water change (bucket full) just to bring down the temp down a little

So in short is this tempreature to hot for my fish

2 plec

2 angels

2 silver sharks

2 blue rainbows

2 gupies

2 mollies

Thankyou guys

Danny

Hi Danny,

sorry to hear your troubles. Its definitely your heater. Unfortunately, heaters tend to break "stuck on" and if that is the case, it can definitely raise the temps that high. Take out the heater and throw it in the trash.

Best bet is to go to the LFS tomorrow and buy a new heater. Get the temp down to a reasonable temp and it should hold during the night. Those fish could not stand that temp for very long.

Sorry mate
