Hospital Tank?

I am starting a nano tank, but considering the implications of a mistake in these tank I have decided that I will set up a hospital tank along with the set up. I was wondering what do you guys use? I have a 10G and a 20G option to use, so what would you out in?

I was thinking some left over live sand and rock from original tank ( its starting its cycle), a heater...

but what filter/pump to use? thanks in advance for any advice suggestions!

Ive got a 24" x 12" x 15" hospital tank just incase!

I use a 40 litre plastic storage crate for a Q tank. I grab a spare filter sponge from the main tank and add a couple of bits of rock, and away we go. When not in use the filters and rock get sterilised (soaked in freshwater) and put back in the main tank. The storage crate gets bleached, washed and dried, then put away until next time.
