are you sure that is a horsefaced loach Acantopsis choirorhynchus
it is very easy to confuse HFL with long nosed loaches Acantopsis octoactinotos

the main concern is that long nosed loaches are killers whereas HFL are safe for communities.

My loach had bands on his back, not spots, so I'm guessing by those links you posted he was an HFL.

It's a moot point, anyway. Mine died with the others when I went out to get plants.

I'm getting another when I have a cycled filter in my tank. They're too cute to resist. ^^;
