That's a "hospital tank" though isn't it?! Not a full-time home. Also, people keep bettas in vases so a 3.5g would probably be quite roomy for them. And what's with the "thank you very much"? Also, Smiles I know you didn't say you were going to breed them but most do so I am sorry for presuming it.
Either way the tank is too small in my opinion. I don't think it's fair to keep an animal (or 4) in that sort of size of captivity. It's not like a slightly bigger tank would have been uch more expensive and the fish would be happier and healthier.
Whatever people want to keep animals in I can't stop them. If someone wanted to keep a betta in an ashtray I couldn't but it doesn't mean I am not going to try.
