horizontile stripes

my female has almost constant horizontile barsthe temp is 82 i gave her clean new water is she just whiney or what i tried to add a little indian almond leaf but that didnt help
any help would be appeciated

Show her a male and sure her horizontal stripes turned to verticle stripes if she is mature. LOL

2 of my males do that when they are relaxed. Their color fades down some and they have 2-3 horizontal stripes running broadside them. If they are shown another male..they quickly color back up though.

They also do it if I scare them (i.e. if I bump their tank too hard or slosh them unexpectedly or something similar).
