Hoplosternum Thorcata

I have 4 hoplosternum thorcata and they are all 1.5 inches long. How long do you think it would be until they are breeding age??

Also, I was thinking of moving them into a tank with ameca splendens and their fry. Even though they have small mouths with barbels like corys, I was wondering if they would eat my fry. My ameca splendens fry are about an inch long right now but the parents could have more fry next month so I was wondering if they actually preyed on fry.

The hoplos will breed at about 4". They will eat small fry.
