does anyone know a site that has EVERYTHING anyone could possibly want to know about these fish. im looking for extesnive information on these fish beucase i own several and hope to attempt to breed them eventually. any info would be helpful.

Good luck then my one and only hoplo died :-(
Try putting it in google see what comes up.

There is some info here http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=41576 and if you search planet catfish http://www.planetcatfish.com/core/index.htm under the reclassified name of Megalechis thoracata there is some more info there.

Information on captive breeding of these fish is thin on the ground but actually spawning them is a fairly simple affair. As long as the fish are mature and you have one of each sex then they can be conditioned with live foods for a couple of weeks before initiating spawning with a large water change with cool water.

ive had no problems keeping them, i have four of them right now. the smallest is about an inch and a quarter and the largest is about 2 inches, ive had them for probably 4 or 5 months at least, i feed them OSI freshwater flakes in the morning and aquarian flake at night and sometimes if the mood stikes i'll give them frozen hikari bloodworms because they love it. anyways thanks for the info everyone.
