Hoplos

I bought 4 tiny hoplos before xmas. they are now about 4 inches each and very chunky

In the last week I have noticed two have grown the big pectoral fins thatare double the size of the other two and very red. I assume these are the males

the two males have also started mild bickering between themselves.

At what age/size will these breed

They are about there by the looks,

It does tend to be when they are around 4-5" in size

Its amazing how quickly the large fin has developed as if almost overnight. I know that when they become adult that fin becomes very red and big
