Hi, this is my hopeful coral list for an 18 inch cube with around 15-20 kg of LR with a 150w (14 k I think) MH and a small T8 actinic:

Pulsing xenia
star polyps
yellow polyps
some form of brain
a torch coral

can anyone think of anymore good corals to keep in the tank?

thanks

Humm, with that lighting you could keep just about anything. I'm not sure what you guys have available in the UK or if its within your prie range, but you might want to consider some more exotic LPS like Blastomussa, Acanthestrea, or Echinopora. Or maybe a toothy bubble coral :D

Id go for a hammer/anchor coral...
They look like the torch corals, but if you got a frag, then grew it up it would look very nice, as the polyps look like anchors or hammers...
Also, if its a cube, i would have one of the sides covered with mushrooms...It could be done quite easily with the lights you would have, so if you got a big piece of LR covered in mushrooms, like This one, then they would spread onto the rock nearby, and it would look amazing IMO. (this could also be done with zoos etc.)

Another thing you might want to consider is some finger leathers or toadstools. I think they can make a tank look much deeper... :good:
