Hooligan
Fishaholic
So, I decided to set up a fishy tank
Shock Horror!
Anyway the tank dimensions are: 45"x18"x24"
The tank is custom made by Wharf, so we went and picked it up. Here it is, in the car:
So we got it home and left it in the car while we washed other bits and pieces. Oh ye forgot to mention that on the way home we called in at a different fish shop to get some pond liner.
Anyway when we got back we went on to wash the bogwood.
Then we went straight from washing bogwood to washing sand This is probably boring now lol. Oh well, basically we used play sand because its cheap and easy, looks good as well.
Washing the sand:
We poured the sand into a white pillowcase.
We then went to the outside tap and ran it through, until the water from the pillowcase ran clear...
Then we ran out of sand...
So had to dash down to argos to get more... anyway the sand was all washed, so what we needed next was the tank. This is where we had a problem...
So we called in the help of next door to help move it, next we decided to put the backing on. This is where the pond liner comes in
So we stuck it all down so it had its backing on, next thing to do was get it upstairs and into position. So we did that, with the help of nextdoor.
So now its all full. Unfortunately no pictures... yet... btu hopefully some soon.
