well since this is the best place to put it, im gonna share my near fatal disaser ! haha
well i made a diy hood and left a few things out and the result !!

but here are the things that i left out and forgot that led to the disaster....
i used a 15W tube driven by a 20 wat ballast, im not really sure if thats a big think but i thing i shouldve looked for a better fit..
( the store that sold me the ballast saids thats it's ok to plug in a 15 watt bulb into a 20 watt ballast, i think its wrong but he told me that its ok since they do it for the longer tubes.. here why i think it does't work with smaller tubes.. with a long tube lets say a 36 watt tube and a 40 watt ballast its a 4 watt diff, but with a 15 watt tube and a 20 watt ballas its 5.. my point is the smaller tube is experiencing 25%more power as opposed to the longer tube the 36 watt one, its far less when considering the percentage)
another thing is that the ballast i used well maybe was of low quality so it ignited, i guess its always better to buy good parts when going DIY just to be safe orr be extra carefull.
the other is with the wood, i think its best to use fire resistant paint or enamel when coating just to be safe
