Hongkong paradise fish

Overhere some pics of my Hongkong paradise fish (Macropodus hongkongensis). This is the least colored paradise fish there is. But just like other paradise fish, also this species has got a high tolerance in water temperature which makes them good contenders for keeping outdoors.
These are young specimens... Adults reach 2-3 inches in size.

One of my fellow members of our national livebearer society keeps and breeds them for years. So, at some point I got them as well from him. Because I do love rare fish and I thought their behavior was interesting to me, that was the reason to get some of these fish.
