Yup I have some peacock gudgeons in with my two dwarf Gouramis (breeding pair) with some corys and tetras and they’re totally fine all together together no flaring at each other, chasing or nipping etc they usually leave each other alone. every once in a while I make sure I watch to see the gudgeons get food since Gouramis can be pigs lolif the pH is around 7.0 and the gudgeons get some food they should be fine.
Ya they can be tough lol! I’m not sure about honey Gouramis I haven’t heard anything about them having the same issues with their health but what works best with my dwarf Gouramis was to quarantine tank them for two to three weeks and just treat them for everything I used premafix for one week and melafix for another week and treated with super I’ll cure as well for another week and just kept the temp at 80° the whole time they haven’t had any issues (knock on wood) lol! That's brilliant. I gave up on dwarf gouramis because of their health issues but honey gouramis are beautiful too. I'll watch out for food issues. Thanks for the tip!
Ah! I'm avoiding using medication if at all possible - too many drug resistant bugs being created, sadly. But I'm glad your dwarf gouramis are doing well. They seem like such pretty little fish!Ya they can be tough lol!
