Morning everyone,

I turned on my tank today to see a (maybe?) very sick dwarf honey gourami. I noticed his colour was fading about a week ago but I assumed it was to stress from a large water change (half the tank) due to one of the fish eating and killing a tetra (ammonia had spiked slightly but nothing I didn’t catch in time). I woke up today to the little gourami looking really pale, a lot thinner than usual (around the bottom half of the body), I’ve just fed him to see if he’s eating, his appetite is okay he’s not going absolutely ham at the food (I fed tetra tropical fish frozen mixed , ones with blood worms, brine shrimps ect today) but is still eating it.

I’ve tried to pin point a possibly skin disease or parasite but can’t find any that match what he looks like, my other fish (catfish, 2 zebra fish, 1 blue gourami and 1 other honey gourami) don’t look sick or have similar symptoms to him. I’ve noticed recently that the honey gourami pair haven’t been doing their little love dance and it might be because he’s sick?

Also it’s probably wise to note I say he but I’m unsure, they’re either a pair of males or females as there markings and fins look the same size and shape (but then again I’m not a sexting genius so I may of missed whether one is a female and the other a male).

I’ve attached photos of the little dude. The third photo of the gourami by the leaf is the one that hasn’t lost colour for comparison.

Do you have any ideas of what it’s dying from? Temp hasn’t changed in the tank, all the parameters are the exact same, nothing changed.
I am afraid it could be anything causing this.
