I have two honey gouramis that I tried my best to sex at the store to get a male female combo but they are still young.

I've got it wrong a few times  but I'm inclined to say the first photo (fish with darker line down the side) is female. Of the males I've had over the years only very stressed males have shown this darker line while it was quite common in females. The second I'm not sure about.

It is usually said that male gouramis have longer pointier fins than females, but I've found that to be less reliable with honeys. These are a pair I once had. I know they were a male and female as they mated and laid eggs. I could never see any difference in the fins. But I know which was the male as he had a black throat.

Yeah I can't really go by size or color as they are still young and about the same age so I might have to wait until they're older
