Home made Defuser

I got a new used tank today on ebay i picked it up and the top of it uses 2 eclepse 3 lids. It was a gerate deal, but its laoud. Like realy loud. I have another eclepse 3 on my grow tank and it isent half as loud. And i noticed the reason is these defuser thingys that divert water out of the bio wheel. I found out i could order them online from marineland but i dont wanna wait. This tank is already setup in my bedroom and is way to loud to sleep. Dose any one have experiance with the eclepse 3 lids?Any ideas?

You might try tapeing some of the components together. Noise comes from vibration so if you get out the handymans secret wepon (Duct tape) and bind a few components (NOT THE GLASS!!!) together it may just help quiet things down a bit.
