Alright so heres the issue my house guests(who are rapidly pushing to get kicked out) were shooting the pellet guns in the kitchen around my fathers 40 gallon tank is temporarily placed while I try to find a place for it. When I went out there just now I found a hole caused by a ricochet bb. It's from the inside out where there is a tiny pin sized hole. Here is a pic from the outside of the tank. Sorry for the bad quality had to take it on my phone.

Any how I'm sure its ruined for fish now, so my question is whats the best way to lose it up without it looking like crap? I already have a drilled hole on the opposite wall that is covered which makes it hard to just fill it and turn it around. My plans for it are to set it up for my geckos eventually.

I think you need gavin from autoglass

How high up on the tank is the hole? You could try and fill it with some silicon sealant, then turn it round so you can't see it, if you're willing to take the risk. Otherwise just set it up for your gecko's as you said.

Its about 6 inches from the bottom, and about an inch around. I don't mind filling it in I just don't want it to look like more of a mess than it does now.

I would shoot your "house guests" in the behind with the same pellet gun..............

Make the house guest pay for a new sheet of glass the same side as the side panel and just replace it.

But then you have the task of removing old glass (safely) then siliconing it back and curing etc ,etc.....
I would just make them buy me a new tank or LEAVE :shout:

That shouldnt be to hard to do. But i agree try to get them to pay for a new tank first.

If i had 100% proof it was them and they actually had money I would make them pay for a new tank in a heart beat. Sadly I'm only 99% sure it was one of them since my husband has taken a few shots in the area as well. Shooting them is tempting though.

Get rid of the pellet gun......... and MAYBE ask ~~~ "WHY THE H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS YALL SHOOTIN THAT TOY INSIDE"!!!

I must say that nobody will ever respect your property if they don't get to pay for all damages. On the other hand, if you didn't object to the pellet gun being shot in the house before the damage, go find a mirror to see the culprit.

Such a hole can be repaired but the starting point is a new sheet of glass and enough skill and silicone to place the new sheet in position and have it stay. I have done it in similar damage situations after knowingly buying a 3 sided tank with a broken 4th side.
