hi! a couple weeks ago i told u of my hodling cichlid well i checked on her this morning and she was still preggers i been checkin on her the last few days and was even going to try n get her in the breeding box (shes clever and i hate stressing her) well i go to feed tonight and sure enough i see her at the front of the tank with the other 8 cichlids.(something she hasnt been bothered to do while holding) so i knew right away. I looked at her throat and sure enough the tell tale signs of holding were now all but gone. SO my question is: do u think ANY fry would have any chance of survival in a 45 gallon tank with 9 cichlids? How small should they be if i were to try and see them? Is this an impossible task?

thanks in advance!

EDIT: SORRY THIS WAS MEANT FOR THE CICHLID FORUM! =]

cichlid fry is pretty tiny. I saw some in a tank at wallmart once. Do you have any plants and are they fairly dense. Watch the father (I think) He should swim around picking up abies in his mouth and spitting them back in the nest. This is probably the easiest way to find such tiny critters.

hehe K there is some plants and many rocks in there so hopefully they survive =]
Dont really know who the father is and i dont really see any of them moving fry around so i dunno. Do i need to be worried about sucking them up the grav vac?
Thanks for the info,
