Good day to all!

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forums.

My name is Matt and I am senior at college. I major in zoology and love animals!

I have been keeping a 30 gallon freshwater tank for 5 years now and have recentley started a small 6 gallon. Keeping an aquarium is a rewarding and therapeutic hobby and I feel it is a duty of ours to give these fish the best life possible. I not only want to see them healthy, but see them act as they would in their natural habitat. At the end of the day, I am only happy if the fish are happy.

I am very happy and excited to become apart of this community and hope to learn more about the hobby (and fish in general) and evolve as an aquarist.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Best regards,

live_the_wild (Matt)

Hi, Hallo and welcome to us Matt.... I like your reasons for keeping fish being all the right reasons. Mingle, meet lots of friendly people here and share your knowledge and experiences. (also in the "household pets" section, I'm sure we can pirate a little Zoological advice from time to time).... Be sure to post some pics of your tanks and also your pets. Looking forward to see more of your posts.

Great post Matt. I like the intro. Indeed, by learning about and caring for the animals that live around us, the better WE become as humans in understanding life itself.

There is an old saying:
Never trust a man/woman who doesn't love a dog.
I'm sure you can substitute 'dog' with any other animal.

Thank you for the warm welcomes. It is not hard at all to feel welcomed here. :D

I will definately post some pics of my tanks later on (lol just have to find the time :X).

I also have a yellow lab and I never look to my pets as property but rather as family. Lol, even if they are fish.

To respect other organisms is to respect life, no matter what form it takes.

Once again, thank you for the warm welcomes.

Best regards,
