no seriosly, i don't wanna see dead snail shell around =( and i hate worms..simply disgusting....but i want some dwarf puffers!

a dp would really only be poisonous to you if you ate it. since that shouldnt' be an issue, don't worry about it.

as for what they eat, most will not eat flakes or any other "floating" or "surface" food. youre best bet is live or frozen foods, such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, tubifex worms, and live feeder shrimps. my puffers tend to prefer live foods, they like food that moves, so i just dump the frozen foods over an airstone so they "move". you will need snails in there, the small nuisance kind that often come on plants (many times, lfs will be happy to unload someon you for free). if these feeding requirements are a problem for you, then dwarf puffers are NOT the fish for you.

I'm not sure if I have to, but I wanna add that you really should keep them in a species only tank because they will fin nip if not kill (most of) the other fish ... Sorry if you already knew this, I'll back off now
