I've had one for about half a year now, and it's excellent!

I ended up getting the Nikon D40 and i freakin love it. It takes great quality images, and i have used an XTi and in IMHO the nikon is just as good.

The Nikon is much better than any entry level Canon, that's a fact.

Yeh, your right. Ive found canons to be fine for macro and whatnot, but the image quality aint that great.

Nikon D40:

Canon Rebel XTi

Bboth photos were taken by me, and i find the nikon to be sharper images and nicer quality.(ovbiously photobucket screwed up the qiality...grr)
