Hi everyone...I have had this little guy for about 2 weeks...hes been doing wonderfully...until 3 days ago when I was feeding him I noticed clearish bumps emerging from his scales...and where they were emerging the scales stuck out...there are about 4 or 5 of them...I fear they may be tumors... But Ive never seen one thats clear like this...? I fear hes getting worse for today I noticed his entire body...his scales are poking out like he has dropsy! I have done 100% water changes since I saw the bumps...and he seemed fine until yesterday he wouldnt eat...not even live worms! I added some salt to help with stress and possibly dropsy....any suggestions I'd really like them! Ill try and get some pictures...but when I tried last the bumps wouldnt show Ill try in a different lighting...


EDIT: Tried for some pictures these are all I could get...had to put him in something other then his tank...so I put him in a fish bowl while I was doing a water change...

Here he is...you can see the discolored lighter spots those are the bumps...and you can kinda see his scales poking out...

Maybe it's some kind of allergy or reaction... have you used any new products or foods lately? I hope your little guy get better.

No I have done everything the same since I got him...now that I think of it though....(hes a copper) When I got him I noticed one small spot...looked like a miscolored scale...but its in the same spot as one of the bumps....so maybe he had it before I got him...? and it grew/got bigger/worsened? I just wish I knew what to do I feel so helpless...I changed his water again about an hour ago...and put a tad more salt in and hes actually moving around a tad more...not much...I just dont want him to suffer....but I dont know if I could put him down...
