Hmm Air Pump Question

basically i have an air pump which is an elite 802 and all i want to know is if there is anyway possible to make it quieter.

it has a rather loud noise when pumping, should i have both ends going to an air stone under my water, its just im sure i read about having to keep one out of water to stop it overworking.

any help appreciated greatly

both airstones on the end of the airline are meant to be in the water this pump is recomended for a 75L/16 gallon aquarium

basically this hasnt really helped, my question was basically is there anyway to hide the vibrating of the filter itself i even put up a shelf behind my tank to put it on this was the loudest its ever been.... does anyone have any tips for this??

It might need a new diaphram or something.
